DocCreate is a document automation application available on the monday.com Marketplace that lets teams generate professional PDF and Word files directly from their monday.com board data — no manual copy-pasting required. Instead of exporting data and rebuilding it in a separate tool, DocCreate connects to your boards and merges live column values into a pre-built template the moment you click generate. For example, a sales team managing deals in monday.com can use DocCreate to instantly produce a branded proposal PDF populated with the client name, deal value, and service details pulled straight from the board item. DocCreate supports a wide range of document types including invoices, offer letters, project summaries, RFPs, checklists, and more. It is built and maintained by Flowtech Apps LLC and is available as a paid subscription directly through the monday.com Marketplace.
Using DocCreate takes just a few minutes to set up. Start by opening the monday.com Marketplace and installing DocCreate on your account. Once installed, open any board and add DocCreate as a board view or use it via the monday.com apps panel. From there, select or create a document template and map your board columns to the corresponding placeholders in the template — for example, mapping a “Client Name” column to the {{client_name}} field. When you are ready to generate a document, select the board item you want to use and click Generate. DocCreate will pull the live data from that item and produce a finished PDF or Word file within seconds. For teams generating documents regularly, monday.com automations can be configured to trigger document generation automatically, removing the need for any manual steps after the initial setup.
DocCreate currently supports two output formats: PDF and Microsoft Word (DOCX). PDF is the most commonly used format and is ideal for documents that will be shared externally — such as invoices, proposals, contracts, and offer letters — because the layout and formatting remain fixed regardless of the recipient’s device or software. Word (DOCX) format is better suited for documents that need further editing after generation, such as draft agreements or reports that a recipient will customise before returning. You can design templates that reflect your brand identity — including your logo, colours, fonts, and page layout — and then insert dynamic placeholders that map to specific monday.com columns. When a document is generated, each placeholder is replaced with the live data from the selected board item. For example, a project summary template might include placeholders for {{project_name}}, {{assigned_team}}, {{deadline}}, and {{budget}}, all pulled from a single board row. Templates support rich formatting such as tables, multi-column layouts, conditional sections, and repeating rows for line-item data. This means a single invoice template can handle orders with one product line or fifty, automatically expanding to fit the data. Templates can be saved and reused across multiple boards and team members, making them a one-time investment that pays off across every document your team generates.
